Canadian Volunteer Program
Global Lifestyles Canada contributes to social development by promoting international relationships and encouraging cultural exchange through education, professional development and community involvement.
Participants of the GLC Volunteer Program enjoy a choice of many volunteer opportunities in a variety of fields. Depending on your goals, you may volunteer full-time at an organization for a set number of weeks, or you may volunteer part-time while attending a language course in Canada.
Bring a positive attitude, a willingness to try and a true interest in helping out! We look forward to having your join us for a learning-adventure in Canada!
The GLC Volunteer Package includes:
- Airport transfer on day of arrival
- Homestay placement (private room, 3 meals per day) *
- Arrival orientation at GLC office
- Assessment of volunteer’s profile and goals, matched with Canadian NPO
- Opportunities to practice new skills, assist with meaningful projects, and interact with Canadian and international volunteers
- 24-hour emergency support for duration of program
- Reference letter upon successful completion of placement
* There are a limited number of volunteer opportunities that provide dormitory or shared housing options. Please inquire.
